Temperature Model Code Converter Tool

Emerson has released a new line of Rosemount thermowells and sensors that are easier to specify and order. Our previously combined thermowells and sensor model codes have now been separated into two model codes. The Rosemount 114 model is for thermowells and the Rosemount 214 model is for sensors. When looking for a thermowell or sensor, there is now one spot to find all the information for each category. We have created the Model Code Converter to help convert all of the legacy models to the new model codes. Click on the converted model code number for more information. Notes

(1) If thermowell and sensor were previously ordered together in one model code, they will now need to be ordered separate as 114 and 214 model codes. (2) Remove the XT or XW option from the end of the model code when it is ordered as a standalone product. (3) There is a 0.25-inch insertion length difference between the 214C and the 0068, 0078 and 0183 models.
Insertion Length Difference

For 0068, 0078 and 0183, tip thickness variability of the thermowell was not taken into account. Instead legacy models standardized on 0.25-inch for the tip thickness.	With 214C, the tip thickness variability is taken into account. Therefore, 0.25-inch is added to the model string when converted. The 0.25-inch is the same tip thickness used for 0068, 0078 and 0183 models. This new method enables a user to measure the outside length of the thermowell from the tip to the threads as shown in Figure 2. The 214C sensor is then manufactured to ensure that the correct length is built regardless of tip thickness. This new method also makes it easier to order a replacement sensor.
